The PHENIX Laboratory is a joint research unit between CNRS and Sorbonne Université created in 2014. Research activities are mainly focused on colloidal systems and porous materials dedicated to energy, health and environmental applications. One of the main worldwide-known expertise at PHENIX is the strong coupling between lab experiences and modeling. In the field of electrochemical storage systems, PHENIX is active on modeling and experimental characterization of transport and retention properties of confined fluids and charged species together with characterization of rechargeable energy systems at synchrotron facilities. PHENIX currently gathers ca. 90 people including 40 permanent researchers.
