PhD STUDENTSHIP IN MATERIALS CHEMISTRY: New Solid State Materials for Lithium Batteries
University of Bath - Department of Chemistry
A PhD Studentship is available to investigate novel inorganic oxide-sulfide materials for solid-state lithium-ion batteries, involving materials synthesis, structure determination and atomistic modelling within the groups of Professor Christian Masquelier (LRCS, Université Picardie Jules Verne, Amiens, France) and Professor Saiful Islam (Department of Chemistry, University of Bath, UK).
This strongly collaborative project will be based at the University of Picardie and forms part of the ALISTORE European Research Institute (ERI) programme.
The three-year studentship is tenable from September 2016 (or shortly afterwards) and candidates should have a good degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials or related discipline. The studentship award provides a maintenance grant of approx. 20,000 € / year.
