Dear all,
Despite the terrible past events in Brussels, life must go on, we are pleased to announce that the next ALISTORE-ERI bi-annual meeting on 14-15 June is being presented to you as a very special event. For the first time in the ALISTORE-ERI’s history, a Member of the European Parliament, Ms Julie Girling MEP, will honour our meeting with her presence and participation in the first part of the two-day programme. This is a great opportunity for the ALISTORE ERI to enhance its visibility and demonstrate to her, the important activity which we undertake in the European Science scene. During the programme, we will be highghting the battery and energy storage research and development activity being undertaken in the ERI to a Politician at the European Parliamentary level. We would like to thank, in advance, all the ERI research academics and the industrial Club member representatives who have accepted the invitation to actively participate in this part of the meeting in order for us to strongly attempt to make it a success. If everything goes well, the first morning session will pan out as follows :
10:00 Welcome to ALISTORE-ERI, by Patrice Simon
10:20 Green Batteries, by Jean-Marie-Tarascon
10:40 Battery Recycling, by M. Egbert Lox, UMICORE
11:00-11:45 Panel discussion chaired by MEP Ms Julie Girling
THEME “Future aspects of Materials Sciences & Electrochemistry research in the European Green Energy Economy: The role of the ALISTORE European Research Institute “
You will find attached a complete version of the programme (14-15 June), as our classic meeting schedule will go back to normal in the afternoon session to leave the floor to the Scientific presentations and internal ALISTORE activity.
We would like to thank the CSIC offices for welcoming and organising this meeting at 62, rue du Trône in Brussels (7th Floor, room III). For convenience, you will find attached a list of hotels close to the meeting room.
ALISTORE will handle the registrations of the meeting. It is very important that you register on the following link http://goo.gl/forms/6Nb95xdVqr no later than May 23rd, 2016.
We thank you all in advance for your strong support at this special meeting and we hope to see you all in Brussels. We know that you will all realise the importance of a full attendance at this meeting.
